This is an original World War Two SBD Dauntless Divebomber Pilot\'s Main Attitude Instrument Type Mark 4 Autopilot. This instrument was hooked up to the aircraft\'s autopilot. It provided the pilot with his artificial horizon information. This instrument is 5 x 7 x 12 inches. The SBD is famous for the Battle of Midway. The aircraft sank 4 aircraft carriers in one day.
