This unusual Vaughan design is known as the “Locktite” Bottle Stopper and Opener and is classified by bottle-opener collectors as Type N-9. It was designed as a combination bottle-opening and bottle-stopping/resealing tool. Vaughan produced examples carrying advertising for breweries, beverage companies and other businesses.

A very nice piece of vintage Wisconsin advertising and an unusual addition to a collection of bottle openers, breweriana, liquor advertising, Fond du Lac memorabilia or vintage barware.
Condition:
Pre-owned vintage condition. Shows scratches, surface wear, finish loss, oxidation/patina and discoloration consistent with age and use. The center insert has considerable visible wear. Advertising and manufacturer\'s markings remain readable. No attempt has been made to polish or restore the piece.
