For the serious Marine Corps Aviation collector. This is an authentic, vintage G-1 style flight jacket manufactured by the legendary California Sportswear Co. of Los Angeles. This is an original service-worn piece belonging to a Marine aviator assigned to HMA-169 (Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169), the famous \"Vipers.\"
SQUADRON & PATCHES:
• Right Chest: Authentic, period-correct HMA-169 \"Vipers\" Cobra/Iron Cross patch.
• Left Shoulder: Classic USMC Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA) patch.
• Right Shoulder: American Flag patch.
• All patches show authentic aging and were applied during the period of service.
CONSTRUCTION & SPECS:
• Manufacturer: California Sportswear Co. (Tier-1 vintage maker).
• Material: Genuine Goatskin leather (noted on tag). Heavy pebbled grain.
• Lining: Original red quilted nylon.
• Hardware: Original heavy brass zipper in working order.

This jacket shows significant character from actual flight line and cockpit use.
• Leather: Beautiful heavy patina with surface \"crazing\" and cracking typical of aged goatskin. Visible tear/hole on the outer sleeve (see photos).
• Lining: Red quilted lining is mostly intact but shows heavy wear/tearing at the inner neck area.
• Knits: Waistband and cuffs show wear consistent with age and use.
