Igor Stravinsky invented the Stravigor so he could generate staves anywhere, anytime. Most likely because of WWI, he never received a patent for his invention. After the patent application expired, the design was taken up by the likes of the Gamble Hinged Music Co., as seen here.
The example listed here is complete, including its little case. Both rollers spin well. The ink pads beneath the rollers are dry so they would need to be replaced or rehydrated, but, otherwise, this is a functional roller pen that could be used regularly.
