Up for sale is a beautiful vintage European wooden music box / jewelry box featuring a highly detailed 3D repoussé (embossed metal relief) plaque on the lid. The plaque beautifully depicts Rembrandt’s famous 1642 masterpiece, **"The Night Watch"**. The underside features its original red **Reuge Swiss Musical Movement** label, indicating it is set to play Mozart's *Eine Kleine Nachtmusik* (Serenade / Romance). **Condition Details (PLEASE READ BEFORE offerDING/BUYING):*** **Mechanical Condition:** **NOT WORKING / FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.** The mechanical Swiss movement does not currently play music when wound. Sold strictly as-is for a restoration project, parts, or as a purely decorative trinket box. * **Cosmetic Condition:** The exterior wooden box is in very nice vintage shape with clean lines, tight hinges, and minimal wear. The velvet lining inside is clean, and the protective wooden panel over the musical gears is completely intact. The metal relief on the lid shows great patina and age-appropriate character.
