*-Materials: They consist of a heavy black-painted iron/metal base and top plate.
The stacked, ribbed spheres in the center are made of solid clear lucite/acrylic rather than glass.
*-Design Accents: If you look closely at the upper and lower rims of the black metal bases, they feature a thin, painted cream pinstripe trim.
This subtle accent is a TRUE signature identifier for this exact Pier 1 series.
*-Bottom Padding: These
PIER 1 candlesticks, originally left the factory with a protective layer of black felt covering the bottom to protect furniture surfaces - and on thus pair it is still Intact & Present!
***Misc Notes: Because they are 25 years old and heavily collected for gothic, Hollywood Regency, and eclectic Halloween displays, they are widely recognized as true vintage Pier 1 home decor classics.
Lucite YELLOWING OR NOT???
*-NO WAY!! My detailed photographs have not been retouched in any way and you are seeing them as their true clear White color. Yes my lighting in the fotos I turned down to give an Ambient Halloween/Gothic type feel, but these candle holders are beautifully clear, vibrant , & white color. Freex of cloudiness too! The lucite has not yellowed! Buy confidently from me!
The fact that there is absolutely no yellowing means they were likely kept away from harsh UV sunlight and stored in a climate-controlled space over the last two decades. Lucite in that crystal-clear state is exactly what collectors look for
