This listing is for a vintage piece of signed original photographic art, a photo of a Native American child titled, “Stony Indian Baby”, signed by artist D. M. Crossman. This photo is in black in white, depicting an adorable child in traditional garb. The title somewhat clumsily names the child as a member of the Stoney-Nakoda or îyârhe Nakodabi tribe, the indigenous peoples of the rocky mountain area in Montana and areas of Alberta and Saskatchewan in Canada- technically part of the Sioux Nation. This photographer traveled the US capturing beautiful shots of the natural wonders surrounding him and its inhabitants. His work is skillfully framed to display the subject in a stimulating way. This photo is in good vintage condition. I am unsure the exact year it was produced. It is signed by the artist as well as titled in pencil below the image on the board which it is adhered to. I believe it is professionally mounted by the artist, and could be re-matted & framed at the buyers discretion. There is also a method of hanging already attached, should the buyer choose to display it as-is. It has some light aging / coloring to the board, but none to the photo itself. There is one small puncture in the board which could be concealed by a re matting and framing.
