Up for sale is a charming pair of vintage framed art prints by celebrated Victorian-era American illustrator Maud Humphrey (1868–1940). Famous for her rosy-cheeked, idealized depictions of children, Maud Humphrey was one of the most popular commercial artists of her time—and notably the mother of Hollywood legend Humphrey Bogart.
These specific pieces originally served as color plates for the beloved 1897 children’s poetry book, Little Grown-Ups, written by Elizabeth S. Tucker.
