Description
Stunning vintage West German jumbo blown glass Christmas ornament, measuring approximately 6 inches overall.
This unusual ornament features a beautiful turquoise/aqua blue finish with a large recessed reflector/indent centerpiece. The center features a dimensional gold heart topped with a red flame, giving it a distinctive Sacred Heart-style motif, surrounded by reflective silver glass with subtle multicolor accents.
The exterior is further decorated with silver mica/glitter motifs and flowing white painted designs. Its oversized teardrop/oval shape and elaborate reflector make this an especially striking example of vintage West German Christmas glass.
The metal fitting on the underside is clearly stamped “WEST GERMANY.”

Condition:
Vintage pre-owned condition with considerable age-related wear. There is extensive crazing/crackling to the surface finish, along with areas of paint and finish wear, spotting, discoloration/darkening, and loss/wear to the mica decoration. The recessed reflector and painted center also show age-related wear.
The visible crazing appears to be in the decorative surface/finish; however, due to the age and delicate nature of vintage blown glass, please review all photographs closely for condition. Photos are considered part of the description.
Despite the age-related wear, the ornament displays beautifully and has an exceptionally unusual combination of jumbo size, turquoise color, mica decoration and elaborate heart reflector.
Will be packed carefully for shipment.
Combined shipping is available on multiple-item orders. Please view my other listings for additional vintage Christmas ornaments and decorations.
