Stunning Vintage 7-piece Mid-Century Modern Frankoma Pottery Set.
Highly collectible, perfectly matching set from Frankoma Pottery. This set features the iconic, embossed Mayan/Aztec geometric relief pattern executed in Frankoma\'s highly sought-after \"Flame\" orange-red glaze. Crafted over native Oklahoma sapulpa red brick clay, the vivid orange-red glaze beautifully thins out over the high points of the geometric frieze. This creates gorgeous dark, earthy outlines that make the Mesoamerican relief pattern visually pop. This uniform, single-color set is a spectacular example of mid-century American art pottery and makes a striking display piece or a functional addition to any MCM kitchen.
What is in this lot:
(1) Frankoma 7T Teapot with matching lid. Stands approximately 6 inches tall and measures roughly 8.5 inches from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle. Holds approximately 44 oz (5.5 to 6 cups).
(6) Each stands approximately 3.75 to 4 inches tall with a 3-inch top diameter. Features a comfortable, stylized geometric block handle. Holds approximately 10 oz.Condition Report (Please Read Carefully):
The 6 Mugs: Overall excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze is bright and glossy. Please note that one mug features a few tiny, factory-original raised bumps in the glaze (kiln grit/glaze pops from the original firing process). This is a standard manufacturing characteristic of vintage hand-fired pottery, not post-production damage.
The Teapot & Lid: The glaze is vibrant and glossy throughout. Please note that there is one small nick/chip on the tip of the spout and one small nick/chip near the top inner rim of the teapot body. Because of how the thin Flame glaze settles on the edges, these may be manufacturing glaze skips, but they are being explicitly noted as small chips for total transparency. Note to Buyers: As with all vintage art pottery, minor production variations such as glaze skips, pinholes, or minor kiln grit may be present from the original firing process, adding to the unique character of each handmade piece.
