Today I am offering this fabulous pair of vintage Christmas decoration ornaments.
These are from the Dillard's Trimmings collection, circa 1990s.
They are Carnival or Mardi Gras inspired with a colorful rainbow assortment of ribbons and ruffles.
The top finial is curvy and completely covered in a coil of vibrant red satiny twine braid.
There is a collar underneath the topper in the shape of a unique clown inspired multi-layered multi-colored satin ruffle.
The bottom section is a sweeping tassel made out of a vast array of different types of ribbon in a wide variety of colors and styles.
Interspersed among the ribbons are narrow strings of plastic Mardi Gras parade style beads.
These are substantial in size.
They each measure approximately as follows:
- 12" from top to bottom including the hanging loop.
- 10" from the top of the finial to the bottom of the tassel
- 3" across at the widest point
They come in their original box.
They are in excellent vintage condition with no damage.
I believe they were never used.
One of the ornaments is still attached to the tray inside of the box.
The exterior box has only extremely minimal storage wear.
