Design: Double-pocket layout. The upper open pocket was historically used to hold fresh wooden matches, while the lower pocket safely contained burnt, soot-covered matches to protect against kitchen wall fires.Condition: Excellent antique condition with a strong, clean cast. Displays a gorgeous, naturally aged dark iron patina with minimal surface wear. No cracks, chips, or repairs to the iron work. Ready to hang via the built-in top or bottom mounting loops.
