Vintage 1979 Austin Nichols Wild Turkey Lore Series II No. 1 limited-edition ceramic whiskey decanter with its original hangtag.

This highly detailed figural decanter depicts a wild turkey in flight with its wings fully extended beside an open book. The book features “Wild Turkey Lore,” an illustrated woodland scene, and information about the wild turkey. Raised “WILD TURKEY” lettering appears across the front of the base.

According to the original hangtag, this was the first release in a new series of Wild Turkey bourbon whiskey ceramic decanters. Its traditional bisque finish was designed to highlight the sculpted detailing and rich coloration.

This would make an impressive display piece for a Wild Turkey collector, vintage bourbon advertising collector, hunter, wildlife enthusiast, or anyone looking for unique Thanksgiving or lodge-style décor.

CONDITION:

This is a vintage pre-owned piece with age-related surface and finish wear. The original paper hangtag is included and shows expected wear from age. The unglazed underside has discoloration, residue, and surface wear consistent with age, previous use, and display. Minor nicks and finish wear may be present around the lower edge of the base.

No major cracks or repairs were found during inspection.

The decanter has been lightly rinsed; however, a residual whiskey or alcohol odor and minor interior residue may remain due to its age and original use. It has not been represented as sanitized or suitable for beverage service.
