A breathtaking, complete 15-piece vintage Japanese Dragonware porcelain tea and coffee service in absolute mint condition! Crafted with a dramatic airbrushed charcoal black and smoky grey background featuring highly detailed, hand-applied 3D raised Moriage dragons with soft blue highlights and bright gold gilding on the handles, rims, and teapot finials.
Collector's Stamp:
Stamped "FOREIGN" on the base in red, identifying this set as a 1930s–1940s Japanese export piece intended for British/European distribution prior to and surrounding WWII.
Rare & Desirable Colorway:
Unlike common jet-black Dragonware sets with standard red accents, this piece features a sought-after smoky charcoal and powder-blue airbrushed background, highlighted by exquisite pink/lavender flame whisps and blue cloud trails in the raised moriage detail. This specific pastel-accented palette is significantly rarer and highly collected!
15-Piece Set Includes:
1 Teapot / Coffee Pot with matching lid
1 Covered Sugar Bowl with matching lid
1 Creamer Pitcher
5 Teacups / Demitasse Cups
5 Matching Saucers
Condition:
Absolute Mint Vintage Condition! No chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or flea bites on any piece. The intricate raised moriage slipwork is 100% intact with vibrant color and brilliant gold accents throughout.
