Vntg c1890s Sozodont Tooth Powder Tin Ginna NY Maker Victorian Dental Dentist For Sale

Empty lithographed (not a paper label) tin container for Sozodont Powder For Cleaning Teeth, stating on one short side that the tin was made by the famous and important Ginna & Co., N. Y.; maker of the tooth powder not stated; net contents also not stated but it measures approx 2 5/8" x 2" x 1" tall; with a removable lid; undated but because it is Ginna (early tin manufacturer) and the illustration of the man on the top of the tin, my guess is that this is from circa 1890's. What is so special about this tin, besides being Ginna, great graphics and a product way ahead of its time, is the fact that the condition is so outstanding. Ginna tins usually were made with a thin layer of paint and so many Ginna made tins found today are in poor condition. My tin is in a 9+ condition. Recently on this same tin in maybe a 9 condition sold for $75 plus shipping. There is presently only one other Sozodont Powder tin on , offered for less money but not close to the condition of my tin.
