For sale is a vintage Collins carpenters hatchet, weighing 1lb. 13.2 oz., and measuring 14-1/16\" long overall, with handle. Signed \"Collins\", the head measures 6-11/16\" long, with a 3-5/8\" wide edge, with a 1-1/8\" wide X 1-3/16\" tall octagonal face. The steel is in excellent overall condition, with a beautiful edge, which will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand. The face is excellent as well, as pictured. The 14-1/16\" long wooden handle is sound and solid, but with some chip-out at the heel, as pictured.
