Up for sale is an original vintage linen-era postcard featuring the William Taylor Hotel, located at Civic Center (100 McAllister St) in San Francisco, California.

• 1930s Peak: Opened around 1930, this iconic 28-story Gothic Revival skyscraper was advertised as the \"Tallest Hotel in the West\". Operating as a unique dual-purpose complex (hotel and Methodist church), it was run by the Woods-Drury Co. under James Woods (President) and Ernest Drury (Manager).

• Military & Campus Use: During World War II, the building served as U.S. Coast Guard housing. In 1981, it was acquired by the University of California Hastings College of the Law (now UC Law SF) and became known as McAllister Tower.

• Current Status: The landmark tower remains part of the UC Law SF campus and is currently undergoing a major seismic retrofit and historic restoration, set to reopen as modernized student and faculty housing in 2027.
