Wonderful vintage circa-1955 New Era Potato Chips advertising tin, manufactured by Nicolay Dancey Inc. of Detroit, Michigan.
This one-pound tin features fantastic mid-century graphics in yellow, red and black, including the distinctive silhouetted figure and the advertising slogan:
“The New Era – Scientifically Processed Potato Chips”
Additional wording includes “Easily Digested – Less Fattening.” The tin retains its coordinating yellow lid.
The Detroit Historical Society dates an example of this New Era one-pound tin to approximately 1955, making this a great piece of vintage Detroit food advertising and potato-chip/snack history.
Condition: Authentic vintage condition with visible age-related wear, including scratches, scuffs, paint/finish loss, discoloration and wear along the lid and edges. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
