Up for sale is a fantastic piece of Canadian outdoor history: an Official Scout Axe of Canada vintage camp hatchet. Manufactured by the legendary Walters Axe Co. out of Hull, Quebec, these high-quality carbon steel axes were the gold standard for Canadian Boy Scouts for decades. Condition Details:
- Axe Head: Genuine vintage condition with a beautiful, natural aged patina. There is typical light surface pitting and oxidation consistent with age, but the steel profile is thick, robust, and completely structurally sound. The poll shows minor, expected signs of light use but is not heavily mushroomed.
- Handle: Comes on a classic curved hardwood handle with a fawnsfoot knob. The handle fits tightly into the eye with a solid wood wedge and has a rich, dark weathered finish.
