Features a detailed raised eagle with shield, crown and stars, anchor and crossed naval elements, with “USS Harold E. Holt” and “FF 1074” in raised lettering.
Measures approximately 8\" in diameter. Heavy cast construction with two mounting holes.
USS Harold E. Holt was a Knox-class U.S. Navy vessel commissioned in 1971 as DE-1074 and redesignated FF-1074 in 1975. The FF-1074 designation on this plaque therefore dates the design to the ship\'s frigate period, circa 1975-1992.
Good vintage condition with age-related patina, oxidation, surface marks and wear consistent with display and storage. Unpolished and presented as found.
Acquired as part of a longtime U.S. Navy and maritime collection. No claim is made that the plaque was mounted aboard the vessel.
