Description
Classic United Mine Workers of America sticker featuring dark blue lettering on a yellow background. The circular design reads “Labor Pioneers,” “UMWA,” and “Organized 1890,” with an AFL-CIO union printing mark beneath the central lettering.
From a collection of classic mining stickers dating from the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s. This sticker’s exact production year is unknown. The printed 1890 date commemorates the union’s founding and does not date the sticker itself.
The circular sticker remains within its surrounding square material on the backing. A collectible piece of coal mining and organized labor memorabilia.
