Vintage trade-style fixed blade knife featuring a single-edged steel blade with an upswept point and a smooth, honey-brown handle decorated with geometric silver-tone metal inlay.
The handle decoration includes rectangular accents flanking a central rounded motif near the blade and a pointed zigzag pattern around the butt cap. The handle feels dense and solid and appears to be bone, although the exact material has not been verified. The silver-tone decoration appears consistent with pewter; metal composition is untested.
Previously cataloged by the sale seller as a Native American Plains skinning knife with a bone or antler handle. This attribution has not been independently authenticated. Exact age, maker, geographic origin, and tribal affiliation are unknown.
