This is a vintage Mexican folk-art duck figurine in the Tonalá style, made of hammered brass feather plates over hand-painted ceramic.
The blue-and-white ceramic head and wing panels against the warm brass make it a striking shelf or mantel piece.

About this item
The body is built from overlapping brass feather plates edged in twisted rope wire. The ceramic is painted with blue brushstroke feathers, a cobalt beak and blue flower medallions with green and rust accents.
