Rare vintage collection of Texas political campaign memorabilia, featuring approximately 98 pieces from the 1970s and early 1980s.Collection includes:• 26 Ray Hutchison “Wooden Nickel” pieces
• Approximately 61 “VOTE Ray HUTCHISON for LEGISLATURE” campaign buttons
• 6 “TEXANS FOR FORD” buttons
• 4 “KAY HUTCHISON FOR CONGRESS” buttons
• 1 large “’78 HUTCHISON FOR GOVERNOR” buttonThe Ray Hutchison material is especially interesting, including his 1978 campaign for Governor of Texas. The collection also includes early political material connected to Kay Hutchison and the Texas Ford campaign. The pieces are still displayed together on the original backing/display board, which adds to the vintage presentation and collector appeal.Condition: Vintage condition with age-related discoloration, wear, and some deterioration to the backing board. The buttons and wooden nickels themselves show normal age/use wear. Please see all photos for condition and exact contents. This would make a great addition to a Texas political memorabilia collection, campaign-history display, or political history collection.$150 OBOI’m interested in selling the collection as a complete group rather than separating the pieces.
