Vintage Ted Arnold Gold Paperweight Man Pushing Rock For Sale

Vintage Ted Arnold Sisyphus Sculpture Paperweight. It’s described as brass painted gold. Measures approx. 6.5” L X 3.25” T. This piece is in good vintage condition, appropriate for its age, there is some missing gold on one arm (please see last picture) which seems to be typical for this sculpture paperweight as while doing my research I noticed nearly all of the online pictures of this piece showed some level of missing gold. Especially on the arm area. Some much worse. From my research, this piece is in very good condition compared to others I’ve seen, but I will leave that to you to decide. In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was a cunning king of Corinth known for his trickery, who was punished in the underworld to eternally roll a boulder uphill, only for it to roll back down each time he neared the top. The Myth of the Sisyphus has become a symbol of the futility of human endeavor and the absurdity of existence.
