Vintage Talking ALF animated cassette player plush doll with built-in cassette player and moving features. Includes four ALF cassette tapes as pictured.
This is a particularly nice example cosmetically and would make an excellent display piece as-is, or a great restoration project for someone familiar with vintage electronic toys.
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CONDITION DETAILS:
This ALF is partially working and is being sold as needing repair/restoration.
When batteries are installed, the electronics receive power and the red power indicator illuminates. His mechanical joints also move sporadically, indicating that portions of the internal electronic/mechanical system are still functioning.
However, the movement does not operate correctly or consistently, and the cassette player and/or speaker will need repair or servicing. These vintage ALF dolls use aging internal mechanical components, including rubber belts/bands that can deteriorate over time and may require replacement.
Because of its age and current operation, no guarantee is made regarding which internal components will need repair. Please purchase with the expectation that servicing/restoration will be required.
Cosmetically, the doll is in excellent condition. The plush fur, face, hands, feet and overall appearance present beautifully. The articulated areas also appear intact. These dolls can suffer from fragile/broken joints—particularly around the ears—but all of the joints on this example are intact and in excellent physical condition.
The battery compartment is exceptionally clean with no visible battery corrosion or rust.
