Vintage Taittinger Champagne Reims Ceramic Cigar Ashtray France Comtes 8\" Large For Sale

A fabulous piece of vintage French champagne advertising barware from Taittinger of Reims, France.

This substantial cream-glazed ceramic ashtray features raised TAITTINGER, CHAMPAGNE and REIMS lettering around its sculptural square rim. Each side is accented with a wonderfully detailed dark relief medallion depicting the historic horseman and marked COMTES DE CHAMPAGNE – REIMS.

The underside bears a pottery crest along with MADE IN FRANCE, confirming its French manufacture.

Originally created as promotional barware for Taittinger Champagne, today it makes an impressive collectible for a home bar, wine cellar or cigar lounge—and could easily be repurposed as a decorative catchall for the non-smoker.

Condition:
