The center features a laurel wreath surrounded by the Latin words “SUOS CULTORES SCIENTIA CORONAT.” The traditional university motto translates approximately to “Knowledge crowns those who seek her.”
The raised silver-tone lettering and imagery contrast nicely against the recessed black background, giving the lapel pin the appearance of a miniature university seal or medallion. The scalloped outer edge adds additional dimensional detail.
