Vintage St. John Ambulance Association / St. John Ambulance Brigade uniform button cover featuring the traditional eight-pointed St. John cross.This is not a standard pin-back badge. The reverse has a large domed button-cover fitting designed to fit over a uniform button, allowing the decorative St. John emblem to be displayed on the garment.Black and gold-tone design with central St. John cross and surrounding “St. John Ambulance Association” lettering. Decorative scroll across the bottom reads “St. John Ambulance Brigade.”Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition. Shows considerable age-related patina, finish wear, tarnish, scratches and wear to portions of the black and gold detailing. Button-cover fitting remains present on the reverse. I have not cleaned or polished it in order to preserve the original aged finish. Please review all photos closely for exact condition.
