Offered is an authentic vintage presentation medal manufactured bySporrong & Co. (S & Co.), one of Sweden's most prestigious makers of official medals, insignia, and decorations.
The obverse features a finely detailed portrait ofKing Gustaf VI Adolf of Swedenwith the inscription"GUSTAF VI SVERIGES KONUNG."The reverse displays the official winged emblem of theSvenska Aeroklubben (Royal Swedish Aero Club / KSAK)beneath the Swedish Royal Crown and includes an unengraved presentation cartouche.
The reverse is clearly hallmarked withS & Co.and Swedish assay marks. The medal is non-magnetic. While the medal bears official Swedish hallmarks, the metal composition hasnot been professionally tested, and it is being sold as an authentic vintage Sporrong Swedish Aero Club presentation medal.
The blank presentation panel suggests this medal was never personalized, making it especially desirable to collectors.
