Vintage Solingen Germany Stag Horn 2-Pc Carving Set Fork Sharpener Rust As Is For Sale

Up for sale is a vintage 2-piece meat carving and serving set, crafted in Solingen, Germany, circa 1950s-1960s. This set features heavy handles made from genuine stag horn (deer antler) with a deep, rugged natural texture. Please note: This was originally a 3-piece set; the carving knife is missing, and ONLY the meat fork and sharpening steel rod are included. The set comes with its original green satin/velvet lined presentation case with the traditional Solingen silk ribbon.Cosmetic Condition:
SOLD AS-IS / FOR RESTORATION. The genuine stag horn handles are solid with no cracks. However, both metal pieces show clear signs of age and long-term storage wear, including noticeable surface rust, tarnish, and oxidation spots (especially on the sharpening steel rod and the neck of the fork). The original presentation box functions properly but displays heavy exterior cosmetic wear, corner scuffs, edge peeling, and inner satin fabric staining. A great restoration project for someone who can clean up German steel, or perfect for parts/replacement needs. Please review all provided high-resolution photos carefully to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition and rust spots before purchasing.
