Vintage Simmons K-1 Keen Kutter Tool Box – Cabinet - Chest with Logo Early 1900s For Sale

This is a nice cleanearly 1900's tool box with the KEEN KUTTER logo on the top lid! I haven't seen these very often, considered rare. The price guide claims these bring $450-$550in original condition with labels and paperwork, but without the tools. Thisone is not in original condition in that some there are some repairs to hardwareand should have had an original KK padlock, and also an inside label, butotherwise, it is in good condition, very clean, and solid. The box is made withsingle piece oak boards, however, both top and bottom exhibit cracks (seephotos). It has the original Keen Kutter brass plaque on the top marked"E.C. SIMMONS KEEN KUTTER ST. LOUIS U.S.A”, and can be padlocked. Theinside partitions are in place, and solid mounted. The hinges appear to beoriginal. The box is 27.5" x 9" x 4.6" overall, with a brasshandle added to the top.
