Beautiful vintage Scandinavian Sámi / Lapland-style drawstring pouch, traditionally constructed from soft tan leather with colorful wool felt panels and elaborate silver-colored pewter/tin-wire embroidery.
The pouch is decorated on both sides, with a blue heart motif on a red felt panel on one side and a traditional cross-shaped motif on the reverse. Both panels are surrounded by extensive coiled-wire embroidery and decorative edging.
Features braided leather drawstrings finished with small red, green and blue felt tabs.
The pouch shows genuine age and use, including natural creasing, color variation, surface wear and patina to the leather and metal embroidery. The interior also shows age/use. Please examine photographs carefully for condition.
