Vintage Royal Artillery UBIQUE Flaming Grenade Badge / Brooch
An attractive vintage Royal Artillery badge featuring the traditional flaming grenade design with UBIQUE scroll beneath.
Ubique, meaning “Everywhere”, is the historic motto associated with the Royal Artillery.
The badge has a dark bronze/copper-coloured finish and is fitted to the reverse with a long traditional brooch-style pin and hook fastening.
Measures approximately 50mm x 27mm.
There are no maker's marks that I can see.
The exact age and original purpose have not been established, so it is being offered simply as a vintage Royal Artillery badge/brooch rather than attributed to a particular period or uniform.
It is in good vintage condition with age-related surface wear, patination and some verdigris visible to the reverse. The pin and fastening are present. Please study the photographs as they form an important part of the description.
