Vintage RESQVIVAL RV-2000 Big Magnum survival knife, made in Japan by Kinryu Cutlery. RESQVIVAL was Kinryu\'s own brand.
The RV-2000 Big Magnum is the largest of the three Magnum models illustrated in the 1990 Japanese knife catalog shown in the reference photo.
This Rambo-style survival knife features a sawback blade, a hollow handle with a screw-off butt cap, and a compass inside the cap. The blade is marked “440 STAINLESS / BY EDGE CRAFT-JAPAN.”
The knife is unused and retains its original factory edge. However, there are scattered small rust spots on the blade, particularly near the guard. The guard and butt cap show tarnishing and discoloration.
The compass needle moves, but its clear cover is cloudy. No survival kit is present inside the handle.
The leather sheath has scuffs, rubbing, and indentations. A sharpening stone is included in the sheath pouch.
Approximate measurements:
Overall length: 380 mm (15 inches).
Blade length: 240 mm (9.45 inches).
The catalog photo is provided for reference only; the catalog is not included.
