Pronto was founded in 1977 by William J. (Bill) Menghini, an early pioneer who had previously opened his first auto parts store in 1926 and established one of the country\'s first warehouse distributor companies in 1941. The organization began as the National Pronto Association and is headquartered in Grapevine, Texas, serving independent automotive aftermarket distributors, warehouses, and service centers across North America.
In January 2021, the National Pronto Association merged with the Automotive Distribution Network to form The Pronto Network Cooperative, Inc. (known as The Pronto Network), becoming the largest automotive program distribution group in North America. This merged entity operates over 600 distribution center locations and supports more than 235 wholesale distributors and 1,500 auto stores marketing under the Pronto, Parts Plus, and Auto Pride brands.
To further enhance industry efficiency, The Pronto Network merged its resources with Federated Auto Parts to create the Automotive Parts Services Group (also known as The Group). This collaboration, which boasts a combined sales volume exceeding $7 billion and over 5,000 outlets, allows both organizations to maintain their distinct identities and member support while sharing resources in areas like IT, data management, and electronic catalogs. Please!
