Vintage Philco model 40-120 tube table radio, 1940 model year, made in the USA by Philco. Wood cabinet, built-in loop antenna, six Loktal tubes. The dial covers the AM broadcast band plus the shortwave Police band marked on the dial glass. The factory label on the back reads: Model 40-120, Code 121, 30 watts, 115 volts AC or DC.

The wood cabinet\'s finish is scuffed, worn and crazed with age, heaviest across the top and edges (see photos). The grille cloth is present and shows its age. The dial window is yellowed. Both control knobs are present. Inside, the chassis is dusty with some surface corrosion; the cardboard tube shield is torn and worn; the tubes and the built-in loop antenna appear present as photographed but are untested.
