A handsome vintage Peterson’s Kapruf 260 estate pipe with strong collector appeal. The Kapruf was Peterson’s long-running sandblasted briar line, with the name referring to its characteristic rough-textured finish.
This example is clearly stamped PETERSON’S KAPRUF, MADE IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, and shape number 260. The Republic-era markings place it within Peterson’s later vintage production period, and the Kapruf line remained in catalogs through the 1980s.
The pipe has a long, elegant straight profile with a dark brown sandblasted briar bowl and shank. The textured finish gives the pipe excellent vintage character while highlighting the natural briar pattern. The stem also retains the metal inner tube/insert visible in the photos.
