Beautiful vintage Persian-style hand-painted lacquer mirror case featuring an intricate miniature court scene with musicians and figures, surrounded by detailed floral decoration.
The hinged front panel opens to reveal an arched mirror and additional hand-painted floral decoration on the reverse of the door. The shaped architectural form and richly detailed floral motifs are characteristic of traditional Persian decorative art.
Measures approximately 12 inches tall.
Vintage condition with significant age-related wear, surface scratches, finish loss, edge/corner wear and small losses. The mirror has substantial silvering deterioration / foxing and spotting from age. Hanging loop at the top.
