Vintage Peoples Beer Glass Oshkosh Wisconsin Breweriana Barware Rare Misprint For Sale

BUCK’S STATEMENT:

Some pieces of history weren’t just made — they were nearly lost. This early run Peoples Beer glass proudly bears a bold mistake: “Oskosh, Wis.” printed right into the artwork. Before the brewery could correct the spelling to Oshkosh, a handful slipped into the world. Most were pulled, discarded, or simply worn away by time. The few survivors stand as proof of a moment when a hardworking Wisconsin brewery pushed ahead with ambition faster than the printing press could keep up. To some, it’s a flaw… but Buck knows a misprint can tell the truest story of all — a human one.

Peoples Beer wasn’t just any brewery. It became a symbol of American perseverance and progress, later gaining national significance as one of the first Black-owned breweries in the country. This glass reflects that journey: rooted in Oshkosh, made for everyday people, and marked by a perfectly imperfect detail that makes it rarer and more character-rich than its corrected counterparts. Hold it in your hand, and you’re holding a piece of Wisconsin history that almost never had a chance.
