Vintage Peanuts Unfired Ceramic Greenware Rare Aviator Pilot Snoopy
I am not an expert on this medium but this appears to be unfired ceramic greenware, not bisque. It has a chalky texture and makes a dull thud when tapped on rather than a clink. If I'm correct about what this is, it is not ready to paint, it would need to be fired first. From the research I've done it appears to be from the 1960's. Though some of the ceramic Peanuts characters from this set are relatively common, this Pilot/Aviator Snoopy figure seems to be much more rare than some of the others.In looking into these figures I'm able to find Snoopy with his goggles once in awhile, but this is the only one I've ever seen of him actually sitting on his airplane.
