Simon Simple was an early licensed producer of Peanuts novelty items, and their gob hats date to thelate 1960s / early 1970s. These hats were produced in limited quantities and intended for wear, making surviving examples uncommon today.
This example features thebaseball-themed Snoopy design. The Snoopy figure shows loss to part of the original bat, which has been disclosed and photographed.
Despite age-related wear, this remains a striking and highly collectible Peanuts display piece.
