This is a Paul-Son solid clay color sample poker chip featuring the company's proprietary, custom-designed "WYO" hot stamp on one side, and the factory's "2121 Industrial Road" advertising stamp on the reverse.Key Details
- The "WYO" Stamp: The "WYO" hot-stamped logo was created specifically as a generic stock design by Paul-Son. It allowed casinos or private home game buyers to order premium clay chips featuring a high-quality, Western-style cursive logo without needing to pay for expensive custom die creation.
- The Color & Mold: This chip represents a single, solid color option from Paul-Son's historical color line, it is pressed on the classic "Scoville" (SCV) mold, featuring the distinct interlocking letters engraved directly into the clay rim.
- Purpose: Sales representatives used these two-sided chips in sample kits during the 1970s and 1980s. They simultaneously showed prospective casino clients the exact color formulation of the clay, the quality of their gold leaf hot-stamping process, and the location of their Las Vegas factory.
