Beautiful vintage framed religious icon depicting Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mother of Perpetual Help) with the Christ Child and attendant archangels.
The image is rendered in highly detailed raised metal relief, with an elaborate floral and symbolic border surrounding the central Madonna and Child. Greek-style religious inscriptions appear throughout the image, following the traditional Byzantine iconography associated with Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
The silver-tone metal relief has wonderful depth and detail, particularly in the faces, garments, crowns, angels and surrounding roses. It is housed in a substantial molded wood frame with a warm gilt/gold finish.
The metal has not been tested for silver content and no precious-metal mark has been found, so it is being described simply as silver-tone metal.

Appears to date from approximately the mid-20th century, although exact age and origin are unknown.
Condition:
Very nice vintage condition overall with expected age-related surface wear, patina and minor irregularities to the pressed metal relief. There is some flattening/less-defined detail in a small area near the lower right border, as shown in the close-up photographs; this appears consistent with the construction of the relief rather than a missing piece. Frame has scattered age-related wear and marks, with the top edge being dark colored, not gold colored. Please examine all photographs as they are an important part of the condition description.
An impressive larger-format vintage devotional piece with excellent decorative presence, suitable for a religious art collection or wall display.
