A vintage Orbros aneroid barometer encased in a beautiful, solid circular wood frame with solid brass accents. This precision weather instrument features an elegant "open-heart" design, allowing you to see the intricate brass mechanical bellows and levers at work inside the dial.
The dial face features a charming retro typeface tracking weather forecasts from "Stormy" and
"Rain" through "Change" “Fair", and "Very Dry". It offers dual scales tracking pressure in both inches of mercury (inHg) and millibars/hectopascals (hPa/mb).
Condition Details:
• Cosmetic Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The wooden frame has a rich, warm finish with minimal signs of handling. The brass bezel has a lovely natural patina, and the front glass is clear, clean, and free of deep scratches.
• Functional Condition: Fully functional. The mechanical movement responds perfectly to atmospheric adjustments. It features an adjustable brass reference hand on the front glass and a calibration adjustment screw on the textured metal backing plate.
• Includes a brass hanging loop at the top for easy wall mounting.
