Vintage Opus One 1979 Napa Valley Cabernet - FIRST Release - Specimen Label For Sale

This is a "specimen" wine label from Opus One 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon -- First Release. I attended the press tasting and marketing pitch in 1981. This specimen label was given to attendees. Opus One is a collaboration between Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi and French Bordeaux vintner Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Label size: 4"x6-1/16". Note: This is an actual label, BUT it is embossed "SPECIMEN" on the label. Still pretty rare.This label is unused and well preserved since I got them from the winemaker back in 1981. Great as a collectible and for all kinds of paper crafts ... cards, notes, invitations, collage, mixed media, table cards, and more.
