Vintage Ontario Provincial Police leather duty-equipment lot, acquired directly from a retired OPP officer.
The group includes:
• Black leather Sam Browne duty belt with brass buckle and D-rings
• Adjustable leather shoulder/cross strap
• Leather service-revolver holster
• Leather handcuff or equipment pouch
• Six-loop leather cartridge carrier
• Three original embroidered OPP shoulder flashes
The main belt is marked “Jansen Leather Mfg., Weston, Ont.” The revolver holster is marked “J.R. Gaunt” with additional G30S and 4 markings.
The shoulder flashes include two older examples and one cleaner, more recent variation. All three feature the traditional Queen’s Crown OPP design.
Good overall vintage condition. The leather remains solid and displays well, with normal signs of age and service use, including surface wear, scuffing and finish loss. The metal hardware shows some age-related patina. The cartridge carrier has wear around the loop stitching, and one of the older shoulder flashes has some edge damage. Please examine all photos carefully for the exact condition and details of each piece.
An interesting group of genuine Ontario police memorabilia that would make a strong addition to an OPP, Canadian law-enforcement or historical-uniform collection.
