Charming small wooden wall plaque from München (Munich), Germany, featuring a German saying created in a wood-burned/pyrography style with hand-painted blue and white flowers.
The German inscription reads, “Laß die Leute reden, denn sie reden über jeden,” which translates approximately to, “Let people talk, because they talk about everyone.”
“München” is marked along the bottom of the front. The back has a metal hanging loop and a handwritten “240/1230” marking. The meaning of the handwritten numbers is unknown, so no claim is made that this is a numbered or limited-edition piece.
Measures approximately 4-1/2” across.
Pre-owned and in good overall condition with light wear consistent with age and previous display. The painted and wood-burned decoration presents nicely. Please see photos for details.
