Original vintage German Monopol DRGM corkscrew produced by the Monopolwerk factory in Usingen, Germany, circa 1920s–1930s.
The DRGM mark (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) indicates a protected design registered in Germany prior to 1945. This is an early 20th-century mechanical “cage” corkscrew with clean geometric lines typical of the period’s functional industrial design.
Made of solid nickel-plated steel with its original white hard vulcanized rubber base (not Bakelite). This early German rubber material was commonly used in premium bar tools of the era for durability and grip.
Smooth mechanical action, sharp worm, and excellent build quality characteristic of Monopol’s pre-war production.
