This is a vintage Japanese-manufactured portable X-ray diagnostic suite, consisting of a MinXray unit and a Collimax R-120HT collimator. Produced in December 1985, this set features a rugged industrial design, measuring approximately 11 x 8 x 8 inches and weighing 23 pounds.
Condition and Mechanical Status:This unit is being sold strictly as a non-working collectible and is intended for historical display, medical history collections, or as a source for parts and repair. Mechanically, the adjustable lead shutters in the Collimax unit remain functional and move smoothly through their entire range of motion via the external dials.
Important Note:The unit is entirely untested for any functional capacity, X-ray emission, or diagnostic accuracy. The internal field-light bulb for the collimator was found loose within the housing and has been removed; it is non-functional and is included only for reference. All dials, switches, and the wired remote cord remain physically intact.
Cosmetic Condition:The exterior housing shows light scuffing and minor surface wear consistent with its age and previous professional history. The labels and glass meter faces remain clear and legible.
This instrument is a fascinating example of mid-1980s medical technology. It is not intended for modern medical or veterinary use. Given the density of the unit, it will be packed with care for transit from Albion.
